Jessica A. Oski joined the firm in 2010 to continue her practice in the field of health care law, including regulatory and corporate compliance, provider reimbursement, privacy and security, employment and governmental relations. In addition, Jessica’s practice includes general business, corporate, not-for-profit and municipal counsel.
Jessica was extensively involved in health care legal and public policy issues during her recent tenure with the State of Vermont, serving as an assistant attorney general for the Department of Mental Health, including the Vermont State Hospital (2006 – 2010). Prior to that, Jessica managed public policy and government relations in Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire for Planned Parenthood of Northern New England (2001-2006). As an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Burlington (1995 – 2001), Jessica handled a wide variety of municipal law matters including zoning appeals, ordinance enforcement, property tax appeals and inter-government relations. Jessica graduated from the University of Vermont with a B.S. in Environmental Studies and Secondary Education (1986), and she has a J.D. cum laude from Vermont Law School (1992). Jessica has served on the boards of numerous state and local organizations including CarShare Vermont, ECHO at the Leahy Center for Lake Champlain, Vermont Access to Reproductive Freedom, VPIRG, Vermont Chapter of The Nature Conservancy, Governor’s Council on Affirmative Action and the Burlington Public Works Commission.
